so saturday's belleville wander led me to this place.
ahmed is the owner of this curious shop.
he is from pakistan, but luckily no one he knows has been affected by the floods there.
ahmed has been repairing watches for thirty years.
The cat plate in the second photo is just
one of the things that caught my eye.

after i bought the plate,
ahmed invited me for a coffee.
we didn't have a coffee together, but he is a very nice man
with lots of funny cat stuff.

I have a cat plate exactly the same! The background on mine is not green though. Can't remember off the top of my head what color it is. It's currently hiding in the box marked "for Flee market".
I've just found mine and it is exactly the same but with only one cat encased in glass. Think I'll keep it after all.
