i think it's the easiest question to ask a person.
i was born in indiana. and when i tell french people this, most people think i'm from india. which would be infinitely more interesting than being from indiana. i recently met melissa, also an indiana girl (we call ourselves hoosiers in indiana), here in paris. she's a photographer, loves her grandma like i love mine, has the cutest dog, and reminds me what it's like to find this city an exciting and not-at-all intimidating place.
