Thursday

yesterday i didn't feel like a stranger here.
maybe it's because i saw people i had met before and they remembered my name.

small things like this make a big difference.

one of the recurring france versus america conversations i have:
people tell me americans are immediately your best friends,
but then when you call them to do something they have forgotten who you are.
on the other hand, french are hard nuts to crack,
but once you do, you're golden.

funny, huh?

Wednesday

seberg and sagan

ok, so if i am reading this correctly,
these ladies were 20 and 22, respectively,
when these photos were made.

dangit.
(i'm resenting the 28 years i have under my belt)

Sagan's novel was adapted for film, Seberg played in the film.
These photos, including the magnificent portrait of Seberg,
were taken in 1957 by Georges Dudognon.

a quote from the text:
"Deux jeunes femmes dans leur plein épanouissement et fragilité. Un moment de grâce."

beauty.
