Monday
Tuesday
a weekend of food.
TifaMade friday night at the open studios of
His universe is so cool to me.
Regis set up a little cafe in the warehouse,
and I served pumpkin soup, sandwiches, and cakes.
and drank vin chaud and cold beers.
Saturday night I cooked for a friend's party.
I made the stuffed pumpkins using this recipe
(minus the bacon).
i admit it doesn't look so appealing at first glance,
but it's pretty darn tasty.
try it, you'll like it.

And spotted this turkey at the market
(15,90€/kilo-Butterball is much cheaper).
I had never seen a turkey that wasn't sucked into plastic wrap.

meow! last night's vegan treats for yaya herman dune were a hit.
i felt like the ice cream man on a hot summer day.
some of the highlights:
vegan chocolate cake
cornbread and guac
tempeh and roasted apple sammies
baking without eggs and butter?
check.
oh, and the guy next to me in the first pic?
he took one of everything.
love him.

Thursday
a star of a cake.
a cake to make (almost) everyone happy.
new signs I made for Tifamade.
a few people along the way have thought they were freebies.
like a very cute old man.
who had crazy eyebrows
(I sympathize because that WILL be me one day).

Monday
Friday
baby cakes
I bought a new cake mold. It makes the cutest little cakes.
These guys are this morning's work.
Made with this delicious recipe from Smitten Kitchen.
Yogurt cakes are what French kids grow up making.
Super simple.

le debut
sandwich making-mania last week. with help from caroline
on the "i can do this" front, which was everything from constructing sandwiches
to peeling the stubborn backing off of stickers.
now there's a girl who knows how to wear an apron.
smashed chick peas, mozzarella and roasted tomato, and veggie and avocado.
carrot cake and lemon poppyseed mini-cakes.
what's cuter than a cupcake? a mini-cake.
